The top management of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to verify educational degrees and certificates of all the employees and officers of the authority.
The CDA sources told ‘The News’ that the decision to get educational documents of over 15,000 employees and officers working on daily wages and regular basis was taken at a recent meeting of the board.
CDA Chairman Syed Shahbaz, who chaired the meeting, directed the concerned officials including Member Administration Munir Ahmed Chaudhry to devise a mechanism for verification of educational qualification of employees.
Presently, there is no proper mechanism for verification of educational certificates and degrees of CDA employees particularly those whose services were hired on daily wages basis starting from BPS 1 and above.
However, the sources said the officials appointed in CDA on deputation would be exempted from the process as it is responsibility of their parent departments to carry out this exercise or they are inducted in the government service after verification of their documents.
