Mianwali: Fake matric certificates; 2 Health Dept employees get RI

Sargodha Anti-Corruption Special Judge Zafar Iqbal Naeem on Thursday awarded seven-year each rigorous imprisonment to two employees of the Health Department for getting jobs through fake matriculation certificates.

Niamatullah Khan had informed the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) about the bogus certificates of Ghulam Abbas Khan, former storekeeper of the Mianwali DHO, and Fazalur Rehman Khan of Nursing School, Attock. After a preliminary inquiry, a case was registered against the accused under sections 420, 468, 471 of PPC and 5,2,47 of the ACE Act. Ghulam Abbas is facing corruption charges of Rs 2.2 million as well.
