Business of fake government document printing was unearthed by city police during a raid at a travel and cyber cafe unit at Udhna cross roads. The accused used to make fake documents against money.
The special operation group arrested Ramesh Bordiwala, 42, owner of Sai Ashish Tours and Travels and cyber cafe at Udhna darwaja. Following specific information the office was raided by police on Tuesday and Bordiwala was arrested. During checking at the unit police recovered fake documents like 1 mark-sheet, 2 pancards, 7 voters ID, 7 driving licence and 2 electricity bill photo copies from the dustbin.
Police also seized the computer which was used to produce the fake documents. From the computer hard disk, images of fake mark-sheets, pancard, electricity bill, voters ID and driving licence were recovered. The accused scanned and printed the documents using computer scanner and printer. Police seized the equipments.
The accused charged Rs 200 to Rs 2000 for each document from customers depending upon the person’s requirement. Police are taking help of computer experts to recovered data of deleted documents from the computer hard disk. The accused informed police that he deleted the fake document images from computer once printed. Police are now searching for other accused involved in the business of fake documents.
