Job on fake certificate: Cops register case against PU driver

Panjab University had recently found out that one of its employees had got job after submitting fake documents 21 years ago service. After the internal inquiry and recommendation of action, cops of police station 11 on Wednesday registered criminal case against the employee and launched a manhunt. His brother is also accused of producing fake certificates and has been arrested recently while his second brother is accused of theft.

According to information, Sunil Kumar, a resident of the PU campus had joined varsity as driver in 1990. A few months back, members of drivers’ association had raised a suspicion that he had submitted fake documents. Later, they laid their hands on the document under Right to Information Act. After that they requested the registrar for a detailed inquiry into the matter, who marked a probe to chief security officer P K Dhawan. The accused was found guilty in the inquiry and the matter was sent to cops for registration of criminal case against him.
