The Ministry of Higher Education has sent a list of 200 academic institutions that granted fake higher diplomas to Saudis to all Saudi missions abroad.
Some of the institutions turned out to be fake and do not have any physical addresses. The ministry prepared the list to prevent future occurrences.
It will also impose penalties on Saudis who hold fake degrees and even strip them of the diplomas. Currently, the missions use advanced technology and hold interviews with degree holders before certifying any diplomas.
