Bharti Dhage alias Bharti Borkar has been charged with cheating and criminal breach of trust by Hudkeshwar police for a fraud of Rs32 lakh. Police said Bharti had been engaged as teacher at a school from 1995 onwards on the basis of fake marksheet and diploma.
The fraud was discovered in 2013 when Bharti’s job as teacher was annulled by the school authorities following instructions from the education department. In her employment of nearly 17 years, Bharti is learnt to have taken Rs32 lakh as salary after misleading the education department while getting the job.
Following a complaint from the principal of the school, Bharti has been booked by cops for submitting fake documents. No arrest has been made in the case yet.
