A special anti-corruption court sentenced on Wednesday two officials of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and two private agents to varying prison terms for issuing CNICs to refugees in Quetta on the basis of fake documents.
Judge Munir Ahmed Marri convicted deputy manager Manzoor Ahmed and data entry operator Allah Bakhsh of Nadra Kashmor when the prosecution proved charges against them. He awarded 21-year imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 to them.
The court sentenced Mohammad Baqir and Wali Mohammad, both private agents, to 17 years imprisonment and fined them Rs800,000 each.
