Four persons, including a practitioner advocate, AK Kalia of Dasuya in Hoshiarpur, were booked for producing fake documents related to a civil petition in the court of Justice Rajiv Narain on Sunday.
The fake documents were submitted a few days ago, and the cheating came to light during the scrutiny of the documents.
The three other accused were identified as Amit Sharma of Sunny Enclave, Kharar; Murari Lal, and Vidya Sagar, both of village Badla in Hoshiarpur district.
The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Shatin Goyal, OSD, Rules and Protocol for Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court. The police said Goyal reported that Amit Sharma, Murari Lal, Vidya Sagar, and advocate AK Kalia submitted fake orders in the court. A case under sections 420 (cheating), 466 (forgery of record of court or public register), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC was registered at PS-3.
