Police arrested five members of a gang involved in stealing vehicles and sell them with fake documents. Cops also seized two stolen Swift cars and a pistol, a revolver and four cartridges from them.
The cars were stolen from Dabwali and Patiala. Bathinda SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhular said the police on a tip-off arrested the gang but four others were still at large. The arrested persons include Gobind Singh of Sangat Kalan village, Gurpreet Singh of Gumti Kalan, Mandeep Singh, Manpreet Singh and Karamjit Singh of Rampura.
