A check of Bulgaria’s National Customs Agency (NCA) ascertained that four customs officers had presented fake diplomas at their appointment with the system of the Bulgarian customs, the press office of the NCA announced for FOCUS News Agency.

The NCA initiated a check with the cooperation of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education, Youth and Science on the authenticity of all university and other diplomas of the customs officers, connected to the change of the labour relations and contracts of customs officers. The checks have so far detected four customs officers with fake diplomas for bachelor’s degree, “issued” by the University of National and World Economy, the Burgas Free University and the Shumen University.
The four customs officers were dismissed. All materials on the case were referred to the prosecutor’s office.
