Orissa Diary reported that while many youth, mostly technical persons, are cheated by fraudulent placement agencies, the Jindal Steel and Power Ltd authorities have alerted job seekers against exploitation by mushrooming fraudulent placement agencies.
Time and again, it has come to the notice of the JSPL that many job aspirants, particularly from technical background like ITI or diploma or even degree engineering, fall victims to the fraudulent practices by fake placement agencies, which issue fake appointment letters for their illegal benefits.

In a Press release, JSPL vice president and Head of Human Resources Dr Saroj Mahapatra has said that JSPL’s inquiry has revealed that many job aspirants have fallen victims to criminal rackets conducting fraudulent recruitment using forged stationery of JSPL and impersonating as officials of the company. Such incidents of fraud are being reported to the police for investigation and prosecution.
The JSPL alerted all concerned to always crosscheck the authenticity of such kinds of calls for interviews, offer letters and appointment letters in respect of any job position at the JSPL, Angul with the company’s authorised person.
