Three men were arrested by policemen for selling fake health certificates at JMV Graphics and Printing at the Plazamart Tuesday morning.
Police identified the suspects as Jomarie Vagallon, 27, owner of JMV Graphics and Printing, his bother Andy, 23, and Jen-Jen Libod-Libod, 20.
Police Station 1 (PS1) Commander Leonardo Borromeo said the suspects were arrested for making fake health certificates and identification cards.
Borromeo said the City Legal Office (CLO) and City Health Office (CHO) have asked the assistance of police to neutralize the suspects, because selling of fake documents is illegal.
CLO head lawyer Ceasar Beloria said they received complaints from personnel of CHO that the suspects were selling fake health certificates in the amount of P100.
He said one of the personnel of the CHO posed as a costumer, and then the suspects were caught making the fake health certificate.
Police recovered from the possession of the suspects about two computers, chairs, laptop, and several printing materials.
Borromeo said they will wait the affidavits of CLO or CHO for the filing of charges against the suspects, who are detained in PS1.
Beloria said they will conduct further investigation to know if the suspects were also making fake business permits, among others. Beloria said Vagallon also failed to renew his business permit in 2014.
He said they will continue to monitor the downtown area to apprehend those who are making fake documents in the city.
Beloria said they will file falsification of documents against the suspects.
