A Gulf Breeze pharmacist was arrested Friday on charges she had been obtaining prescription drugs using false documents, a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report said.
Raine Webb-Roberts, 46, was a pharmacist at the Tiger Point Wal-Mart, according to the report. An asset protection worker at the store noticed that Webb-Roberts had been filling prescriptions of hydrocodone for a nonexistent customer and signing for them herself.
She reportedly used her insurance information and employee discount card to purchase the drugs at a significantly discounted price, the report said.
The doctor who supposedly issued the prescriptions said they had been fabricated without his knowledge, according to the report. The phone number attached to the prescription reportedly belonged to Webb-Roberts.
Investigators said Webb-Roberts has taken more than 3,000 pills using the false documents since 2010. Webb-Roberts reportedly admitted to faking the prescriptions and was arrested on charges of larceny, drug possession and writing an unlawful prescription, according to the report.
She was released from Santa Rosa County Jail on $30,000 bond Friday.
